Created from the life experiences of Senior Pastor Wayne Cordeiro, "Doing Church As a Team 2009: The Encore Church" is filled with gems that will both inspire and equip everyone in attendance to do church together, reach our community together, serve alongside together, and reach the world for Christ... together.
During DCAT '09, Pastor Wayne will be unveiling his newest book, "The Encore Church". What is an "Encore Church"? A ministry that people just can't get enough of... a community of people dedicated to presenting the gospel in such a way that draws non-Christians unto Christ... inspiring us all into a deep and passionate walk with the Lord.
In addition, Pastor Wayne and Special Guest Speaker Mark Sanborn will equip everyone in attendance with the tools to achieve a remarkable performance in anything that we do. Celebrating 13 Years: New Hope Christian Fellowship
In 1995, Pastor Wayne and his wife Anna moved to Oahu from Hilo, Hawaii to start an Oahu church. They had been pastoring the New Hope Hilo church for 12 years and planted nine others, when God called on Wayne to plant a church that would serve Oahu and beyond. As he and his family prayed over this calling with the other church leaders, Wayne sensed God’s urgency to begin something new in Oahu.
“I felt God saying it was time to pioneer another church, so I started training other leaders. Then the Lord spoke to my heart, saying ‘You’re to do it yourself.’ So I handed the baton to my co-pastor in Hilo and we moved to Oahu.”
From its inception, God’s hand was upon this new creation. New Hope Christian Fellowship Oahu would slowly emerge through an amazing foundation of networking and dedicated teamwork.
Activities Planned
We will be celebrating our anniversary during our weekend services, September 6 & 7th.
On September 12th, there will be a celebration at Bishop Museum, sponsered by our Life Groups Ministry. It will be from 5pm until 9pm. Bishop Museum exhibits will be open and free of charge for our church family to enjoy. There will be entertainment and food for purchase.
